In this workshop we will explore how the Personality System operates using the framework of Internal family Systems (IFS) therapy. 

Understanding this is important because there is a tremendous amount of suffering that comes from the belief that we have a single personality. In fact the personality acts as a system.The way it works is pretty intuitive, if some one says to you, ‘ Do you want to see a movie on Friday?’, you might say ‘a part of me does, a part of me doesn’t’. We will explore how our different parts operate and how they are trying to help us. The Self, or the Highest Self or the true Self has the following qualities: calmness, clarity, compassion, curiosity, connectedness, courage, creativity.
You will learn how to be more Self-led and get to know your parts in a way that they feel understood and appreciated.We all want to be understood and appreciated. And so do our parts!!
When your parts can see that you, as the Self, are able to listen and be compassionate, they can relax and healing can take place.
You will also learn how IFS has Buddhism at it’s core, and how it can be incorporated into your daily Mindfulness practice.

If we change and improve our internal relationships, our external relationships will also change and improve.
As you may have heard before “You can only love someone as much as you can love yourself”
